About The Position

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Corporate Real Estate Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 50 firm in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney interested in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development matters for institutional and corporate clients.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of sophisticated commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development transactions, and real estate financings
• Experience representing investors, developers, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, and other institutional clients
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong academic credentials

Nice To Haves

• Experience with real estate private equity or corporate transactions involving significant real estate assets is a plus

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, development agreements, and other complex real estate transaction documents
• Conducting and managing real estate due diligence, including title and survey review
• Coordinating sophisticated transactions from initial diligence through closing
