About The Position

The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall is a registered charity that operates two of Toronto’s most iconic venues: Roy Thomson Hall and Allied Music Centre—home to legendary Massey Hall, TD Music Hall, Allied Music Centre Theatre, Deane Cameron Recording Studio, and more. Guided by a professional management team and volunteer Board of Governors, the Corporation is dedicated to enriching communities through the cultural, social, and economic power of music. The Corporation is actively engaged in Artist Development and Education & Community Engagement initiatives as an investment in the next generation of artists and audiences. The Advancement Group at Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall leads revenue generation across Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy, and Membership, supporting both the long-term sustainability of our iconic venues including the impact of our artist development and community and education programs. As a key member of this collaborative team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for driving sponsorship and corporate social responsibility (CSR) revenue across Allied Music Centre and Roy Thomson Hall. This role focuses on building and converting a strong pipeline of corporate partners by developing integrated partnership opportunities that connect brands to audiences, and meaningful community impact. This position requires a strong understanding of sponsorship sales cycles, partnership development, and relationship management, along with the ability to contribute to deal structuring and negotiations. The Manager will take a creative and strategic approach to developing innovative sponsorship and CSR packages and activations that deliver measurable value to partners while enhancing the live music and venue experience. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, building lasting relationships, and managing a dynamic sales pipeline. They are equally motivated by revenue generation and the opportunity to align brands with purpose-driven initiatives that support artists, youth, and communities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales or related roles, preferably in the entertainment industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated passion and success for meeting revenue objectives and managing sales pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales management tools for tracking leads, opportunities, and performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Understanding of sponsorship ROI metrics.
  • Strong networking skills with the capability to identify, engage, and maintain relationships with potential sponsors and key decision-makers.
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, production, and finance, to ensure successful execution of sponsor activations.
  • A team player who values collaboration and demonstrates humility in interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on revenue targets and business objectives by driving performance across key metrics, including: Revenue Growth, Pipeline Development, Conversion, Deal Value, Renewals, ROI & Impact.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure corporate partners by tapping into existing networks and building new relationships with decision-makers across marketing, brand, and CSR teams, aligning partnership opportunities with social impact goals.
  • Lead the execution of sponsorship and CSR partnership strategies across a portfolio of iconic assets, creating opportunities that connect brands to artists, audiences, and community impact.
  • Contribute to partnership structuring and negotiations, ensuring alignment with revenue goals, brand objectives, and social impact priorities.
  • Manage a dynamic inventory of partnership assets, from naming rights and premium experiences to year-round activations and education, community and artist development programs.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate across all internal department to deliver seamless, high-quality partner activations and experiences.
  • Responsible for corporate partnership management including reporting, delivering clear, compelling updates that demonstrate both business value, social impact, and opportunities for growth.
  • Stay current on market trends, brand priorities, and the evolving CSR landscape to identify new partnership opportunities and keep offerings competitive.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and the board on pipeline, revenue forecasts, and partnership performance and social impact outcomes.
  • Represent the organization externally, strengthening relationships and expanding the partner base across both commercial and impact-driven sectors.
