About The Position

New York Common Pantry is one of the city’s largest hunger relief organizations, providing food assistance, case management services, senior food provision, nutrition education, and hygiene services. We are a dynamic, mission-driven organization experiencing rapid growth and expansion. NYCP is a poverty-fighting organization that reduces hunger and promotes dignity, health, and self-sufficiency by using a holistic approach. Last year, we assisted over 764,000 visitors, served over 11.7 million meals, and accessed $10.7 million in public benefits resources for our guests. Through an array of programs that we offer, we look to establish long-term stability for those we serve. NYCP is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our Development team. The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for executing all aspects of corporate fundraising, including corporate volunteering, event sponsorship, and relationship management with corporate funders. This role requires exceptional communication, project management, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in corporate fundraising, sales, or business development with a proven track record of hitting revenue goals.
  • Commitment to helping the communities in need and NYCP’s work and mission.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to project professional competence and leadership maturity to corporate stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including funders, program staff, and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and opportunity identification.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced work environment and working under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with and engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT or other fundraising database software is a plus.
  • Experience using project management software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the NYC corporate funders is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the annual revenue goal for corporate partnerships.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of corporate partners. Act as a key relationship manager, maintaining trust and credibility with current funders while also identifying and cultivating new funding opportunities.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners through regular communication, meetings, site visits, and strategic updates, demonstrating responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Liaise with corporate social responsibility representatives to align the organization's mission with corporate social impact and partnership goals.
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Engagement and Food Programs teams to develop volunteer projects for corporate partners.
  • Work with the Volunteer Engagement team to manage the corporate group scheduling and to hand off event specifics, ensuring they manage the day of logistics for corporate volunteer groups.
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Engagement to ensure a top-quality experience for the corporate volunteer pipeline to increase retention and to secure upgraded sponsorships.
  • Act as a key relationship manager, maintaining trust and credibility with current funders while also identifying and cultivating new funding opportunities.
  • In collaboration with the Institutional Giving Associate, write and manage grants to secure funding and identify opportunities for increased support.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to provide corporate partners with marketing assets, social media content, recognition, and impact reports to enhance partner visibility.
  • Identify and refer individual prospects discovered within corporate volunteer groups to the Individual Giving team.
  • Assist with pitching and securing corporate partnerships for special events.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in response to changing corporate giving priorities, as well as trends in philanthropy, food insecurity, and poverty in NYC.
  • Actively participate in development team meetings and contribute to the overall fundraising strategy.
  • Develop reports using Raiser’s Edge NXT fundraising software as directed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
