About The Position

The Corporate Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring items are tagged, priced correctly, and displayed accurately. This role involves coordinating truck deliveries, entering new product information, placing purchase orders based on sales projections, and collaborating with employees across all departments. The merchandiser will also assist with merchandise-related problems in conjunction with customer service, work with customer service to resolve warranty issues, and recommend advertising opportunities based on inventory levels. Additionally, they will inspect damaged merchandise, attend weekly walkthroughs to assess sales volume, work with factory representatives, assist with inventory counts, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs, all while utilizing excellent customer relations.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift merchandise of 20 lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Positive attitude when working with customers
  • Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
  • Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure items are tagged, priced correctly, and displayed accurately.
  • Coordinate trucks scheduled with delivery appointments.
  • Enter new product information into the Storis system.
  • Place purchase orders for products based on sales projections.
  • Work with employees across all departments.
  • Assist with any problems associated with merchandise in conjunction with customer service.
  • Work on an organizational level with other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Answer sales questions about products, prices, and availability.
  • Work with customer service to resolve warranty issues.
  • Recommend advertising opportunities based on inventory levels.
  • Inspect damaged merchandise and make informed decisions on where to place merchandise.
  • Attend weekly walk through to determine sales volume of merchandise on the floor.
  • Work closely with factory representatives to discuss sales.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts.
  • Help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs.
  • Use excellent customer relations.
