Reynolds Farm Equipment•Atlanta, IN

About The Position

The Marketing Specialist - Equipment Photography is an entry-level position responsible for photographing equipment and preparing accurate, organized equipment content for sales, advertising, and auctions. Equipment photography is the primary responsibility of this position, requiring frequent travel among all five Reynolds Indiana stores throughout the week and substantial time working outdoors on equipment lots. The employee must be comfortable safely driving, operating, and repositioning equipment on the same store lot to stage it for photography. Equipment ranges from large agricultural machinery, including tractors and combines, to small lawn and garden equipment, mowers, compact equipment, attachments, and everything in between. Hands-on equipment operation is an essential part of the job. Using a smartphone, this employee captures clear, consistent photographs that accurately represent each machine, documents identifying information and equipment details, and organizes complete photo sets for use by sales staff and leadership. As time allows, the employee also supports general Marketing Department responsibilities, including social media, videos, photography, and other creative projects. The position works alongside the other Marketing Specialists and reports to the CEO and/or Corporate Sales Management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability and confidence to safely operate and maneuver equipment on dealership lots, including large agricultural and smaller lawn and garden equipment; ability to complete required training for the equipment assigned.
  • Valid driver's license, driving record meeting company requirements, and reliable transportation suitable for frequent business travel among all five Indiana stores.
  • Ability to take clear, detailed smartphone photographs and understand framing, lighting, image quality, and the views needed to accurately present equipment for sale.
  • Strong attention to detail when recording serial numbers, VINs, hours, stock numbers, specifications, and equipment condition.
  • Strong organization skills for managing photo libraries, equipment records, requests, and deadlines across multiple locations.
  • Basic familiarity with social media, smartphone photography, and digital file organization; willingness to develop marketing skills and learn company inventory, listing, and photo editing systems.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and communicate effectively with sales staff, store teams, leadership, and fellow Marketing Specialists.
  • Dependability, sound judgment, safe work habits, and flexibility when priorities, weather, or equipment availability change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with agricultural equipment, lawn and garden equipment, dealership inventory, equipment photography, or auction listings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with John Deere products, MachineFinder Pro, Sedona, content scheduling tools, CRM platforms (HubSpot), Canva, NitroPro applications, and approved AI tools is helpful.
  • Education in marketing, agricultural communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Travel frequently among all five Indiana store locations throughout the workweek. Plan visits around equipment availability, sales and auction deadlines, weather, and changing business priorities.
  • Work with sales staff, Store Managers, Corporate Sales Managers, and lot coordinators, where applicable, to locate and identify equipment requiring photographs, confirm stock numbers, and prioritize incoming or previously undocumented inventory.
  • Use Sedona trade notifications and the weekly inventory list of equipment not yet advertised to build and track photography tasks. Coordinate with the appropriate ordering staff for new equipment needing photographs.
  • Plan store visits in advance and contact the location's Service Manager(s) with the specific equipment needing cleaning and preparation, the scheduled photography date, and the deadline to have it ready. Allow adequate preparation time and confirm readiness before traveling so photographs can be completed efficiently upon arrival. Coordinate with sales staff to confirm equipment locations and track photography completion.
  • Personally drive and reposition equipment, from large agricultural machines to small lawn and garden units, from its current location to a suitable photography area on the same lot and return it to the designated location afterward.
  • Complete required equipment-specific training and demonstrate safe operation before independently moving a machine. Follow company procedures, manufacturer guidance, and site traffic rules; obtain assistance when equipment condition, unfamiliar controls, visibility, or clearance makes a move unsafe.
  • Choose staging locations with adequate clearance, suitable light, and uncluttered backgrounds. Coordinate equipment readiness with store personnel and promptly notify Service if equipment does not operate properly.
  • Use a smartphone to capture sharp, well-lit, consistently framed photographs that meet company standards for online advertising, customer quoting, and auction listings.
  • Capture complete equipment views and relevant details, including front, rear, both sides, operator station or cab, controls, hour meter, tires or tracks, attachments, identification plates, and visible wear or damage as applicable.
  • Accurately show equipment condition. Review photos before leaving the location and retake blurred, dirty, incomplete, poorly lit, or obstructed images. Do not use editing or AI to conceal damage, change features, or misrepresent condition.
  • Record and verify the stock number, store location, make, model, serial number or VIN as applicable, displayed hours, and other relevant specifications. Confirm model year, attachments, features, and listing details with sales staff or approved records; flag missing or conflicting information.
  • Use MachineFinder Pro and other approved systems to gather, confirm, and maintain equipment information, including year, make, model, hours, and features. Coordinate auction equipment details and photo needs with Store Managers and the appropriate sales staff.
  • Photograph identification plates and hour meters clearly and match each image set to the correct equipment record. Escalate visible condition concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Upload photographs promptly to approved company storage. Maintain consistent folders and file names by equipment stock number or other approved identifier, with location and capture date, so photos are easy to locate and reuse.
  • Keep machines and attachments correctly associated; remove duplicates and unusable shots while retaining original photos and identification images in accordance with company practices.
  • Provide complete, accessible photo sets and verified equipment details to sales staff, Corporate Sales Managers, the COO, Store Managers, and other authorized team members for advertising, customer quotes, and auctions.
  • Coordinate updates when equipment is transferred, sold, repriced, or requires new photos. Keep published content aligned with approved inventory information.
  • Create and update equipment listings, website content, and social media posts using approved photographs, verified descriptions, and authorized pricing. Emphasize used equipment while also supporting new equipment and retail products.
  • As time allows, assist with general Marketing Department responsibilities alongside the other Marketing Specialists, including social media content and posting, video creation, photography, campaigns, email content, promotions, and events. Equipment photography, equipment listings, and related sales and auction deadlines remain the priority.
  • Capture short videos of auction and other equipment to show basic operation, drivability, and attachment use with authorized operators and safe staging. Use company-approved drone footage where appropriate, after required training and authorization.
  • Assist with Deere inventory counts by helping locate and identify equipment and communicating discrepancies to the appropriate staff.
  • Follow brand standards, review content for accuracy, and obtain required approvals before publishing. Use approved AI tools responsibly, verify outputs, protect confidential information, and follow cybersecurity and secure account-access procedures.
