About The Position

Marc Rutenberg Homes, a long-established Pinellas County developer of prestigious communities and builder of upscale custom homes, is seeking a Junior Controller to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting requirements of its companies. This hands-on position works interactively with Project Managers and has direct management responsibilities for business financial activities and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
• At least 4 years of experience in the housing/building industry or similar industry exposure applicable to the company’s industry.
• Expertise with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Construction software expertise.
• IT expertise.
• Detailed resume including employment history, salary history or earnings record, and academic achievements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial and accounting requirements for the companies.
• Oversee business financial activities and reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and in-depth financial management reports.
• Prepare monthly and annual cash-flow forecasts.
• Prepare the annual business plan.
• Manage statements of account.
• Ensure job-cost accuracy, budget compliance, and margin analysis.
• Manage construction draws and the loan portfolio.
• Oversee vendor contract compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Work interactively with Project Managers.
