About The Position

Harbinger Motors are looking for an experienced Corporate GL Accountant with a strong accounting background in fixed assets and month-end close. This role will be responsible for accounting and reporting for fixed assets, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close of accounting records and cash reconciliations. This role requires advanced analytical skills, extensive experience in accounting practices, a thorough understanding of GAAP, and the ability to influence financial decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Proven experience in fixed assets, month-end close and account balances reconciliation processes.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Nice To Haves

CPA/CPA Eligibility preferred, but not required.
NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Record recurring and non-standard journal entries to ensure accurate accounting
Reconcile certain General Ledger account balances, including cash, other assets and payroll-related accounts.
Responsible for fixed assets and prepaids.
Reconcile Fixed Assets accounts.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Operations, Engineering and Logistics departments to ensure accurate recording of data.
Manage month close-end calendar.
Prepare and maintain monthly fixed assets roll-forward.
Analyze and explain monthly variances and fluxes.
Assist with the financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements to ensure accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
Assist with various special projects as required.
