About The Position

Supports Duke Energy’s corporate financing activities through analysis, execution, and administration of financing initiatives, regulatory proceedings, and select capital markets activities. The role prepares and leads financial analyses and cross-functional work related to securitizations, tax-exempt financings, governmental authority loan programs, Treasury rate case witness support, and other strategic financing opportunities, and prepares related presentations for leadership review. The position works across the broader Treasury organization and with Regulatory, Accounting, Tax, Legal, business units, and external stakeholders to support sound financial decision-making, maintain financial flexibility, and optimize and diversify the Company’s funding sources. It also provides analytical and transaction support for debt and equity capital markets activities in collaboration with the Credit and Capital Markets team. The position may be filled at the Senior Analyst or Lead Analyst level, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications. A Senior Analyst supports and independently manages assigned analyses, schedules, and workstreams. A Lead Analyst independently leads complex analyses and cross-functional initiatives, develops recommendations, validates model outputs, coordinates senior stakeholders, and drives deliverables to completion. This is a hybrid position. After onboarding, work is performed remotely and onsite. Employees must live within a reasonable commute—no greater than 50 miles one way—to their assigned Duke Energy facility and are expected to report there as directed, averaging three full workdays per regular workweek. Occasional work outside normal business hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends, and occasional out-of-town travel may be required. Travel is 5–15%.
