About The Position

Citizens internship programs give you the chance to work on a variety of critical business assignments that will test your skills and use your academic knowledge to match your interests to a real job. As a Finance or Accounting Intern you will have the opportunity to participate in finance activities while improving your reporting and analysis skills as well as enhancing your knowledge of basic finance and accounting principles. You will be placed in one of the following accounting-related areas for the summer: Business Unit Finance (Consumer, Commercial, Enterprise), or Corporate Accounting. NOTE: THIS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM BEGINS June 1, 2027 and is based in Johnston, RI

Requirements

Fully proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly excel.
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

Nice To Haves

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related degree
Expected graduation date of May 2028
Minimum GPA 3.5

Responsibilities

Provide analytical support for the daily/ monthly / quarterly reporting process.
Provide detailed analysis of critical areas including research and reporting
Participate in a final capstone project, collaborating with peers to solve a real business challenge and present findings to senior Finance leaders
Assist in recurring management reporting preparation, consolidation, and analysis for review with senior management.
Participate in month-end close/ forecast preparation and related control functions.
Ad hoc and additional assignments across various divisions and finance teams.
