About The Position

This role is a temporary internship assignment during the Summer of 2027 in departments where there are business needs within Finance at Duke Energy. Tasks may include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis. Intern will gain exposure to various financial systems and use of Microsoft Excel. Duke Energy is a Fortune 150 company. The internship offers a dynamic environment where students can develop their skills, ignite their potential, and lay the foundation for a successful career. Opportunities include Controller/Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Risk Management, Insurance & Treasury. The program location is Charlotte, NC.

Requirements

Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or other business-related discipline or Master of Accountancy (MACC)/Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA)
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Must not graduate before August 2027
Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the summer.
Must possess all of the basic/required qualifications.
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
