About The Position

The office manager position is responsible for overall office activities; maintaining the facility in keeping with corporate office standards and is directly responsible for appearance, general maintenance, and repairs of the facility. Also responsible for directing and coordinating office services and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment. The office manager will supervise day-to-day operations of the corporate space to include all conference space and a staff of two office coordinators. Other responsibilities include partnering with IT, HR, and other corporate departments to provide a secure, productive environment for staff members and visiting guests. Participate in new hire orientation and ensure all steps are completed in the separation process. Responsible for occupancy and space planning, arranging internal office moves, and providing arrangements for office meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 10-15 years of previous experience in office management leading a team
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Experience managing people and projects
  • Proven experience in the application of technology in an office environment

Responsibilities

  • Manages the operational expense budget to ensure cost efficacy standards are met.
  • Research service providers, negotiate contract pricing, and implement new vendors as needed for goods and services for the facility.
  • Supervises the incoming voice mail messages from the main corporate phone number as well as website inquiries to ensure messages are forwarded to the correct employee for handling.
  • Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.
  • Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations to include security (building access badges) and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Communicate, implement, and monitor office policies and procedures to include emergency response plan and recruitment of emergency evacuation team.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee corporate staff meetings as needed.
  • Participates, as needed, in special department projects.
