About The Position

The Corporate Director of Care provides clinical leadership and operational support across AgeCare communities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This role supports homes through leadership transitions, compliance challenges, and quality improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, Accreditation Standards, and nursing best practices. As a trusted clinical expert, the Corporate Director of Care partners with home and corporate teams to promote resident safety, regulatory compliance, staff development, and continuous improvement. This position plays a key role in advancing AgeCare's values of Trust, Respect, Quality, and Teamwork.

Requirements

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership and management experience in Long-Term Care.
  • Demonstrated expertise in geriatric care, including nursing, medical, restorative, dietary, activation, and environmental services.

  • Advanced wound care knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interim Director of Care coverage and clinical leadership support to homes as needed.
  • Mentor and support Directors of Care and clinical leaders through onboarding, coaching, and education.
  • Guide teams in the application of regulatory requirements, nursing standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor clinical quality, infection prevention and control, and regulatory compliance through audits, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support investigations, corrective action planning, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs, policies, and performance indicators.
  • Support staff education, regulatory readiness, and accreditation activities across assigned homes.
  • Stay current with legislative, clinical, and electronic health record developments and contribute to organizational initiatives and industry engagement.

Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 - $127,500
