Corporate Development Associate
About The Position
Marsh is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Corporate Development Associate to support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives across the enterprise. The Associate will work with members of the Corporate Development team and senior business leaders throughout the transaction lifecycle—from market and target assessment through valuation, due diligence, approval, execution, and integration planning. This role offers broad exposure to Marsh’s businesses and senior leadership, as well as significant responsibility early in the individual’s career.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- A minimum of 2 years of M&A, Corporate Development or Valuation Advisory experience gained in a global, complex enterprise
- Experience analyzing or executing mergers and acquisitions
- Familiarity with financial and professional services, including insurance brokerage, consulting, wealth management, asset management, retirement, benefits, or human-capital services
- Working knowledge of Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, or similar research platforms

Responsibilities
- Evaluate potential acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and divestitures
- Conduct company, industry, market, and competitive research
- Build and maintain financial models, including valuation, transaction, and returns analyses
- Prepare presentations and recommendations for senior management and transaction-approval committees
- Support due diligence by coordinating internal workstreams and external advisors
- Assist with the preparation of indications of interest, letters of intent, Board materials, and other transaction documents
- Track acquisition pipelines and maintain internal transaction and market databases
- Partner with colleagues across strategy, finance, legal, tax, human resources, operations, and the company’s operating businesses
