About The Position

The Corporate Development Associate is a key member of the Corporate Development team, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and supporting the execution of acquisition opportunities. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations, providing deep analytical support to senior leadership to drive the long-term value of the company. This role requires a highly analytical, relationship-driven professional with prior experience in mergers and acquisitions, ideally within construction or industrial services. The Corporate Development Associate will work directly with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to evaluate opportunities, present investment recommendations, and successfully close transactions. The ideal candidate brings a background in investment banking, M&A advisory, or transaction due diligence, and thrives in a hands-on environment with high ownership, visibility, and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance from an Accredited College or University
  • 2-4 years of Merger and Acquisition experience

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end M&A process, managing all phases of transactions from sourcing and initial outreach through valuation, diligence, deal execution, and post-close handoff to the integration team.
  • Develop and manage a proprietary M&A pipeline aligned with Loenbro’s long-term growth strategy through proactive prospecting and relationship building with business owners and intermediaries.
  • Initial financial and operational assessments, including valuation modeling, deal structuring, and investment thesis development.
  • Prepare investment materials for internal leadership and Board review, including LOI recommendations and transaction approvals.
  • Support comprehensive due diligence efforts post-LOI, coordinating cross-functional internal teams and third-party advisors to evaluate financial, operational, legal, and commercial risks.
  • Partner closely with the integration team, supporting integration diligence and ensuring a smooth transition and handoff following deal close.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.
