About The Position

Amazon’s Last Mile legal team is seeking a talented attorney to support its rapidly growing and evolving Last Mile logistics teams. Amazon’s goal is to exceed customer expectations by ensuring orders are delivered where and when needed, as quickly, accurately, and safely as possible. To achieve this, Amazon’s Last Mile logistics teams continuously innovate and provide best-in-class service through pioneering new products, programs, and services. The Last Mile legal team supports these efforts by offering practical legal advice, developing scalable compliance mechanisms, and assisting the business in inspecting programs and proactively managing risk.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience working cross functionally across several teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in product counseling or commercial transactions a plus
• Ability to work effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous situations
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel on a diverse array of projects, including product counseling, commercial and technology contracts, marketing, privacy, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Anticipate and address strategic legal, regulatory, and reputational risk.
• Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways.
• Build processes that address risk with flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
