About The Position

Amazon is looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to support a team building
agentic shopping experiences to delight our customers. This is an exciting
opportunity to partner with a team focused on building exceptional and
innovative customer experiences.

You will lead and negotiate complex transactions, provide legal guidance on new
feature and product development, and advise on a wide range of issues, including
privacy matters. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in
creative, business-centric ways.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) legal matters

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
• Knowledge of internet, software, and media industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate or equivalent
• Experience in Privacy Law
• Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate complex transaction agreements
• Advise on complex issues, including privacy and other regulatory matters
• Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice
• Work effectively across business, department, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Support and develop strategic thinking around agentic commerce
