About The Position

The Corporate Controller is the senior accounting leader responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and disciplined accounting operations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role leads the U.S. accounting team and offshore BPO team as one integrated organization while retaining accountability for all accounting outcomes. The position oversees the general ledger and record-to-report activities, accounts payable and receivable, credit and collections, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, accruals, and reserves. It leads monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; reviews financial results and supporting reconciliations; and ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and Groupe accounting policies. The Corporate Controller governs the onshore–offshore operating model, internal controls, audit coordination, and accounting risk management. The role also drives process standardization, ERP and workflow improvements, automation, documentation, and other controllership initiatives. It develops the onshore team, builds relationships with BPO teams, and partners with finance, operational, corporate, and Groupe stakeholders. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required during close, audit, transition, or other critical business periods.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls, audit, and balance-sheet governance.
  • Experience leading close and reporting in a complex, multi-site or multi-entity environment.
  • Proven success in process improvement, standardization, automation, and system implementation.
  • Strong executive communication and business judgment, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.

  • Experience with a U.S. subsidiary of a global public company, including parent-company consolidation and reporting.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or a comparable ERP; inventory and standard-cost accounting; working-capital and customer-deduction processes.
  • Experience in finance transformation, organizational redesign, or migration of work to a BPO provider.

Responsibilities

  • Own the general ledger, record-to-report, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, accruals, and reserves.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and deliver complete, accurate results within regional management and Groupe deadlines.
  • Review P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital; ensure reconciliations, estimates, and material variances are supported and resolved.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and Groupe accounting policies, including for complex or non-routine accounting matters.
  • Lead an integrated onshore and offshore accounting organization, establishing roles, decision rights, handoffs, review standards, and escalation paths.
  • Own BPO governance, including scope, service levels, KPIs, quality, productivity, capacity, issue resolution, and recurring operating reviews.
  • Maintain appropriate onshore accounting judgment, business partnership, and control ownership while enabling efficient offshore delivery of standardized activities.
  • Drive knowledge transfer, process documentation, cross-training, and business continuity; identify activities to standardize, automate, simplify, or migrate.
  • Own the financial-reporting internal-control framework across onshore and BPO processes, including documentation, evidence quality, and remediation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring preparedness, timely support, and closure of findings.
  • Identify and address accounting, process, fraud, and reporting risks; maintain compliance with company policies, delegated authorities, and segregation-of-duties requirements.
  • Standardize and simplify end-to-end accounting processes across entities, sites, and service-delivery teams.
  • Lead ERP, workflow, automation, and reporting improvements that strengthen controls, accelerate close, and improve first-time-right quality.
  • Maintain accounting policies, process documentation, performance dashboards, and a prioritized controllership improvement roadmap.
  • Coach and develop the onshore accounting team and build strong relationships with BPO leaders and offshore team members.
  • Foster ownership, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement, with clear goals and performance expectations.
  • Partner with the CFO, FP&A, Operations Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, HR, IT, Legal, and Groupe Finance.
  • Support treasury, banking, tax coordination, insurance renewals, and other CFO priorities as needed.
