About The Position

GEMCORE seeks a strategic, process-focused, and execution-oriented Corporate Attorney to serve as the first point of review for a broad range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, distributor agreements, and more. This position will research federal and state law applicable to GEMCORE’s key businesses in medical product wholesale distribution, third-party logistics, drop-ship services, durable medical equipment distribution, wellness coaching, and mail order pharmacy. The position reports to GEMCORE’s general counsel and offers interaction with GEMCORE’s top management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and a member of the Ohio Bar Association in good standing.
  • 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, or negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience managing contract documents, templates, or workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Upholds the highest ethical standards in all legal and business matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and draft policies and procedures that apply to our businesses.
  • Improve contract quality by reviewing client redlines, weighing risk-allocation consequences and escalating key issues when needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support various legal matters applying state and regulatory laws.
  • Strengthen business operations by managing and maintaining legal templates, developing process improvements, checklists, and tools that enhance contract workflow efficiencies.
  • Interpret and communicate research and contract requirements to internal teams.
