About The Position

This role is responsible for owning the company's narrative as an employer, partner, and business. The individual will ensure the company is understood as a trustworthy organization to join, partner with, and invest in, especially given its ambitious AI focus. Key areas of ownership include employer brand, corporate milestones, strategic partnerships, and crisis communications. Lovable is a rapidly growing AI company founded in Europe, aiming to democratize software creation for the 99%. In just over a year, millions have used Lovable to build over 50 million projects. The company recently raised a $330M Series B, is expanding to 400 employees this year, and has offices in Stockholm, London, Boston, and San Francisco, with more planned. This communications role is crucial for shaping the company's long-term perception and offers an opportunity to be part of a significant historical moment.

Requirements

  • Supported corporate communications at a high-growth technology company, with experience navigating rapid scaling (fundraising, international expansion, partnerships, leadership changes).
  • Skilled writer with exceptional editorial judgment, capable of drafting materials quickly and effectively, simplifying complex information, and writing in a human tone.
  • Ability to connect dots and think strategically about the implications of announcements and their impact on market perception, media inquiries, and broader narratives.
  • Possesses strong crisis instincts and the ability to remain calm, act quickly, and protect the company during critical situations.
  • Genuine cross-functional collaborator, working effectively with teams like People, Legal, Finance, and Partnerships.
  • Deep curiosity about AI, business, and the competitive landscape, with a sufficient understanding of Lovable's business and market to identify communication opportunities.
  • 6-12 years of experience in communications, with significant in-house experience at a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven track record of managing corporate narratives through fundraising, expansion, and crisis situations, with a trusted judgment under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Own Lovable’s corporate reputation, including funding announcements, office openings, leadership hires, awards, and rankings. This involves developing strategy, writing materials, and managing media relationships.
  • Build Lovable’s employer brand by telling the story of the company culture, ambition, and talent density to attract hundreds of new hires. This will involve partnering with the People team and utilizing traditional media, new media, social, and owned channels.
  • Drive communications for strategic partnerships, owning announcement strategies and narratives for deals with major firms and global platforms. This requires coordination across partnerships, product marketing, and leadership.
  • Serve as a communications partner to the CRO and CPO, developing their spokesperson platforms, preparing them for media and events, shaping their talk tracks, and establishing them as recognized voices in their respective fields (enterprise AI adoption, talent, culture, building a generational company from Europe).
  • Act as a crisis deputy, supporting the Head of Communications in responding to crises by coordinating with cross-functional partners, managing the external narrative, and protecting the company's reputation under pressure.
  • Think beyond traditional media, considering how corporate stories travel on platforms like LinkedIn, how employer brand content functions on social media, and how partnerships are amplified through new media and creator channels.
