Banesco USA is seeking a Corporate Banking BSA Liaison for our Corporate Banking Department.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
3 years’ experience in the banking industry (account opening and/or AML/BSA monitoring)
AMLA certification or equivalent.
Understanding of BSA, AML, OFAC, and KYC/CDD requirements.
Experience with ECS (Case Management) and LexisNexis research tools.
Proven ability to bridge the gap between business-oriented goals and regulatory constraints.
Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical skills in order to find discrepancies in reporting.
Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
Basic knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for Corporate Banking regarding BSA/AML compliance matters.
Provide continuous support to ensure the department adheres to existing standards.
Monitor and track the status of pending cases within the ECS system on a weekly basis and deliver status reports to Account Officers.
Channel and oversee applications for High-Risk accounts that required pre-approval from the BSA department verify that the pre-approval request adheres to the minimum requirements set forth by internal bank policies.
Assist the team in processing and channeling LexisNexis results that require specialized review or management approval.
Responsible for completing the annual training program assigned and attending any webinars and training sessions related to BSA/AML/CFT to remain up to date with changes in the industry.
Participate in team meetings and huddles to ensure departmental alignment.
Support Relationship Managers and Division Heads during client visits and prospect presentations.
Execute additional responsibilities and strategic tasks as directed by the manager to support business goals.
