About The Position

Levenfeld Pearlstein (LP) is seeking a Corporate Associate with 3+ years of sophisticated M&A transaction experience in the insurance brokerage industry to join their growing and highly collaborative Corporate Practice Group. This position is eligible for remote work. LP’s Corporate Practice Group represents middle-market companies, private equity funds, family businesses, and entrepreneurs in a wide range of transactional and governance matters. They handle M&A transactions from $10 million to $1 billion across diverse industries. Their work includes complex acquisitions, divestitures, ESOP transactions, joint ventures, restructurings, complex commercial agreements, private offerings, and general corporate counseling. The practice is known for combining technical excellence with a practical, business-oriented approach, delivering high standards and high care through collaboration, trust, and commitment to client success. Associates can expect equitable opportunity to work on a diverse number of substantive matters across different teams within the Corporate group, contributing directly to client service under the leadership of Partners and Senior Associates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of M&A experience, with sophisticated transactional experience in the insurance brokerage industry.
  • Experience handling traditional M&A transactions, including both buy-side and sell-side work.
  • Familiarity with capital raises, internal perpetuation transactions, and related corporate matters involving insurance agencies and their owners.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bright, eager to continue to learn and develop new skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial approach to practicing law.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with private equity-backed national insurance agencies, regional agencies, specialty agencies, or comparable clients preferred.
