Corporate Analyst II

Lilac•Oakland, CA
•$80,000 - $150,000•Onsite

About The Position

Lilac is looking for a versatile Analyst II to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development & Strategy, you’ll support the delivery of strategic initiatives and commercial transactions. This is a step above an entry-level Analyst role: you’ll be trusted to take a first pass at structuring and analyzing problems and, over time, take increasing end-to-end ownership of key workstreams. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role where you’ll gain exposure to senior leadership, the Board, investors, and external advisors. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth, venture-backed start-up as we scale groundbreaking technology from the lab to commercial deployment. We’re looking for a structured thinker who drives outcomes, communicates clearly, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You should be eager to learn and accelerate your development by taking on new challenges and increasing responsibility.

  • High attention to detail and a track record of producing polished, executive-ready work
  • Highly organized, coachable, and willing to learn; comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with greater independence, exercising sound judgment on when to escalate versus resolve issues directly

  • Support ad hoc, high-priority strategic analysis for senior leadership to solve complex business problems
  • Work cross-functionally to gather inputs, build relationships, and help drive workstreams forward
  • Identify gaps, risks, or inconsistencies in analysis or materials proactively, and recommend solutions rather than simply flagging issues
  • Contribute to process improvements for recurring workstreams (e.g., board reporting, data room management, model templates) to increase efficiency over time
