Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of communications or public relation experience OR Master’s degree and 7 years of communications or public relation experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of communications or public relation experience

Nice To Haves

  • 10–12 years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated global communications strategies for investigational products, including clinical data, regulatory, and launch communications
  • Experience supporting product launches in a competitive market environment.
  • Experience partnering with global affiliates to adapt communications strategies for local markets while maintaining strategic alignment
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across a highly matrixed organization, including executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate complex business and scientific information into clear, compelling communications that advance business objectives.
  • Experience across multiple communications disciplines, including media relations, issues management, digital and social media, and internal communications
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global communications strategy for MariTide across indications, aligned with obesity and related conditions goals and OaR Corporate Affairs priorities
  • Develop and evolve indication-specific narratives and key messages for MariTide, aligned with the overarching communications strategy.
  • Develop and execute communications plans for key data milestones, product-development updates, and medical congress presence, ensuring clear and impactful messaging for internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with clinical, medical, regulatory, commercial, and Corporate Affairs teams to support MariTide development and the MARITIME clinical program with communications strategies.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and engagements
  • Advise colleagues across OaR Corporate Affairs to ensure all initiatives are aligned with the MariTide and OAR narrative.
  • Contributes to internal communications strategy to inform and engage Amgen employees about developments related to MariTide.
  • Enable regional and affiliate communications teams with the guidance and resources needed to successfully implement global communications strategies
