About The Position

Procurement professionals at Gulfstream are not simply buying parts—they are helping build highly engineered aircraft, shaping supplier strategy, and influencing the success of critical aerospace programs. This role is primarily focused on procurement execution and supplier coordination for commodities such as hardware, standard aerospace parts, consumables, indirect goods and services, and lower-complexity production and operational materials. The Corporate Aerospace Buyer executes purchase orders and routine sourcing activities, solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, negotiates pricing and delivery within established guidelines, and monitors supplier quality, delivery, and cost performance. They maintain procurement records and audit compliance, support internal customers and operational requirements, and may assist with planning and reviewing the work of procurement specialists. This role ensures material availability and supplier responsiveness, supports production schedules and operational efficiency, and is primarily focused on execution and supplier management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of procurement in a regulated manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or industrial environment is required.
  • Experience soliciting supplier quotations, evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders, and managing supplier performance.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms while supporting quality and operational objectives.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Executes purchase orders and routine sourcing activities
  • Solicits quotes and conducts bid evaluations
  • Negotiates pricing and delivery within established guidelines

  • Supports internal customers and operational requirements
  • Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec, where appropriate
  • Develops sources of supply and obtains information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current at supplier.
  • Prepares definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations, and ensures schedules are met.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits and reporting requirements.
