About The Position

The main purpose of this job is to monitor and process industry Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Action events as well as, calculating and processing Amortization and Accretion and monitoring Proxy activity, while ensuring timely and accurate posting for events within the Commerce Trust Company client accounts.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Traded Security Types and the impact various event types have on other aspects of security processing

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of Financial Services Industry related experience with securities knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Alternative Assets preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex taxation calculations on Corporate Action events to ensure cost basis and transactional accuracy
  • Monitor Proxy notices and assist internal partners on client account voting discrepancies as needed
  • Track and process Voluntary and Mandatory Corporate Action related activities. This includes considerable oversight on pending events to ensure client proceeds and records are updated timely and accurately.
  • Process Calls and Distributions related to Alternative Asset positions
  • Monitor, research, and resolve out of balances appearing on related reconciliation reports
  • Identify and mitigate liability risks associated with corporate actions and alternative asset activities, ensuring accurate balancing and posting across all event types
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and process efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
