About The Position

The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for a wide range of financial reporting and management tasks, including preparation of all corporate financial reporting, executive monthly reporting, and annual budgets and reforecasts. This role also involves treasury management, overseeing outsourced personnel, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and ethical standards. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (18 hours accounting required), required.
  • CPA license or currently sitting for CPA license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a sense of management acumen are required.
  • Ability to consistently apply education, experience, and good judgement to the job responsibilities at a consistently high level of performance, both in quantity and quality.
  • Ability to consistently and resourcefully handle multiple priorities under rapidly changing circumstances and goals, including within short timelines.
  • Ability to consistently, frequently and effectively communicate, coordinate and collaborate with individuals, and groups primarily face-to-face, but also by telephone and electronic media.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of all corporate financial reporting, including balance sheet review/reconciliation, income statement variance explanations, general ledger review, journal entries, calculating sales tax returns, and preparing annual tax packages.
  • Preparation of all corporate related executive monthly reporting.
  • Approval and processing of commissions invoices to third party brokers.
  • Prepare monthly equity requests to the family office for Partnerships/Corporate.
  • Responsible for annual corporate budgets and reforecasts, including coordination of corporate departments admin training, creating all income schedules and executive reporting.
  • Processing of invoices from family office for monthly benefits and allocated cost.
  • Oversee outsourced personnel responsible for processing corporate expenses/income billings (including commissions, legal bills, family office expenses, payroll and third-party billings).
  • Responsible for general partner reporting and tax package preparation.
  • Responsible for preparation of association financial reporting, including coordination of annual budget and reforecast.
  • Responsible for overall P-Card administration, which includes recording accrual entries, updating and maintaining procedures and training materials, user access and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Exercise discretion when handling sensitive and proprietary company information.
  • Responsible for treasury management, including managing day-to-day banking of the company, monitoring bank exceptions, adherence to internal controls around cash, setting up new bank accounts and setting up and training new users, as needed. Monitor banking fees and other miscellaneous bank matters.
  • Oversight of Corporate cash balances ensure cash needs are met.
  • Maintain processes and documentation of existing processes.
