The Corporate Accounting Manager oversees the Accounting Functions for HB Mechanical Group / HB Global. This role will lead day-to-day accounting operations and manage the month-end close process, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP standards. Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide accounting duties in accordance with GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as budget creation and analysis software
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of budgetary and accounting principles, practices, and policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience required

Responsibilities

  • Perform and/or review all account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Oversee accounting practices for HB Mechanical Group / HB Global
  • Oversee accounting for HB Transportation Lease Software (Trullion)
  • Oversee Vendor Spend (review/approve)
  • Oversee Treasury Banking (day-to-day)
  • Oversee Payroll Process
  • Prepare Annual Budget for departmental spend
  • Work with each Departmental Lead to assist with budget generation
  • Participate in annual audit
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements in a timely fashion
  • Generate/publish Departmental Budget-to-Actuals
  • Assist Departmental Leads to understand/resolve variances
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Supervise and lead Corporate accountant
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed
  • Assist in accounting related projects
  • Other duties as assigned
