About The Position

The Corporate Accountant will oversee parent company account reconciliation, manage intercompany transactions and handle financial activities related to fund accounting and investment portfolios. They will ensure accurate reconciliation of financial accounts between holding companies and subsidiaries and manage intercompany transactions within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles, attention to detail, the ability to collaborate with internal teams and play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in corporate accounting, real estate accounting, or private equity.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP financial reporting standards and experience in real estate investment fund accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting ERP software, preferably Yardi or Sage.
  • Strong Excel skills, adept at generating insightful reports using advanced formulas.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and team collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree and CPA certification, or being a CPA candidate, is a plus.
  • Recent graduates with a strong accounting background from accredited universities are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile financial accounts between holding companies and subsidiaries.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure proper recording.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for corporate entities.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
  • Manage accounting functions for the parent company and real estate development projects.
  • Assist with investment funds and portfolio companies.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for potential investments and acquisitions.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for corporate entities.
  • Assist in audits and provide support for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
