Betting HeroLas Vegas, NV
$58,000 - $72,000Remote

About The Position

Betting Hero is the #1 live activation and customer acquisition company in sports betting and iGaming, and they are adding a key player to their Finance team. The Corporate Accountant will be hands-on with real ownership across core accounting functions and have plenty of opportunity to work on cross-functional projects. Operating in a fast-moving industry, the business evolves rapidly. The accountant will work directly with the Controller, collaborate across teams, and be empowered to bring ideas and initiative, not just complete a checklist. This role is for someone who gets energized by variety, takes pride in doing things right, and wants to be part of shaping how a Finance function grows.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on accounting experience — GL, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite preferred or a strong ability to learn it quickly.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Claude and using AI to build solutions and drive productivity.
  • Naturally curious, always thinking about how things could work better — and speaks up about it.
  • Accountable and dependable — owns their work fully, meets deadlines, and holds themselves to a high bar.
  • Thrives with autonomy; self-directed and confident managing their own priorities.
  • Energized by change, new tools, and an evolving scope.
  • Warm, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable to work with.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable — invoicing, payments, collections, and cash application.
  • Support month-end close: journal entries, bank reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, etc.
  • Administer the expense policy — reviewing submissions, enforcing compliance, and following up proactively with the team.
  • Support the annual audit: preparing schedules, pulling documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
  • Contribute to internal reporting and quarterly deliverables with accurate, timely supporting schedules.
  • Support tax and regulatory compliance projects as needed.
  • Play an active role in Finance automation projects — helping design, build, and refine AI-powered workflows and tools as we continue to evolve how we operate.
  • Support the development and maintenance of SOPs and internal policies as processes evolve.
  • Partner with other teams across the business on a wide range of projects.
  • Handle sensitive information — contracts, payroll data, compliance documents — with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Lean into ambiguity and step into new areas as the business grows.
