About The Position

The Corporal is responsible for assisting the Captain in the oversight of the Commercial Guard department in the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors. The Security Officer in Charge upholds the Company Commitment, Mission and Core Values of ADC LTD NM. The Security Officer in Charge provides guidance and training to all Commercial Security Guards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold and maintain a Level III Security Guard status
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
• Extensive computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and ADP
• Demonstrated strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures
• Ability write and investigate required reports
• Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions utilizing ADC LTD NM and customer policy and procedures
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Nice To Haves

• Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
• Supervisory/Managerial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain post schedules
• Ensure that Security Officers and Security Officers in charge are properly hired and trained to maintain compliance with post requirements
• Perform security patrols to all posts to ensure that all posts are following proper procedures
• Follows up on investigations and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations
• Ensures that all Daily Activity Reports are filled out accurately and signed off
• Uphold ADC LTD NM’s Code of Conduct and document and deliver disciplinary action
• Monitor Security Guard’s work performance and provide direction and support and training as needed
• Monitory of deggy system to assure coverage is maintained
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Security Guard Supervisor
