About The Position

The Utility Machine Relief Operator is responsible for rotating through various positions and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $23.70/hr, plus a shift increase for second and third shift. This position is open to current team members at the Portland, IN facility.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
Must be willing and able to flex/grip with wrists/hands.
Must be willing and able to walk, bend, and stand.
Must have less than four (4) attendance points.
Must not have an active written warning within the last three (3) months.
Must not have a written warning with suspension within the last six (6) months.
Must have at least six months in the current position (unless it is a promotional position).

Nice To Haves

Team members hired into part-time positions are not eligible to bid on promotional positions and/or transfers for a period of 6 months.

Responsibilities

Operating machinery, understanding product specifications, and documenting machine settings, weights, and other data electronically and on paper.
Assembling, disassembling, and cleaning equipment as needed, and communicating issues to leads and supervisors.
Keeping legible and accurate records, including entering data into a computer-based system.
Performing any other assigned work by a supervisor.
Complying with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
Performing all positions of rotation, if applicable.
Operating a Power Industrial Truck.
Using and reading scales and thermometers.
Performing basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with the use of a calculator.
