About The Position

Mervin Manufacturing, home of Lib Tech, GNU, and Bent Metal, is a leading designer and manufacturer of snowboarding, skiing, surfing, and skateboarding products. They operate the world's most environmental factory, staffed by people who are passionate about the sports they serve. Founded in 1977 by snowboarders Mike Olson and Pete Saari, Mervin Manufacturing stands as the longest-running and last major board-building factory in the USA, distinguishing itself in an industry that has largely moved production overseas. Located in Carlsborg, Washington, between the Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges, Mervin Manufacturing serves as a direct link between the sports and their manufacturing.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older on the first day of employment.
No experience required - training will be provided.
Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently as a team player.

Responsibilities

Manufacture wood cores for snowboards, skis, splitboards, skateboards, and side sticks.
Glue wood blocks and plastic blocks.
Operate table saw, chop saw, re-saw, and package saw.
Die cut cores.
Sand cores using CNC sander and bottom sander.
Flame treat plastics.
Run CNC routers.
Operate a forklift.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Wear assigned and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work safely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
