About The Position

In this position, you will lead the early Industrialization of new technologies and key IPTSE commodities. You will develop an STA point of view with Technical Experts and affected regions on manufacturing feasibility risk assessment and readiness for the IPTSE commodity manufacturing. You will also support and execute launch preparation with the suppliers through and including Phase 3 PPAP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Practical knowledge and manufacturing experience is required in one or more of the following processes: Assembly, Welding/Brazing, Electronics, Battery cell, Injection Molding.
  • 5 years' experience in a technical job
  • Understanding of Safe Launch, APQP, PPAP, and Industrialization.
  • Flexibility to travel approximately up to 80%.

  • Prior experience leading manufacturing feasibility assessments & Industrialization projects
  • Experience in leading cross-functional project teams including peer level engineers
  • Strong Interfacing with Senior Ford and Supplier Management.
  • Strong verbal/written communication, numerical and presentation development skills including relationship building skills
  • Diverse mind-set, high degree of initiative and motivation to work in multi-national Teams.
  • Must be able to analyze, interpret and communicate data accurately and effectively for others to use in the strategies we set.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and documentation of critical core STA deliverables: New technology projects, Manufacturing feasibility assessments, Industrialization plans
  • Lead efforts to resolve systemic technical issues, and address critical issues impacting launch or production.
  • Collaborate as required with core PD to understand new technologies and how they might impact the supply base.
  • Collaborate as required with PD, Purchasing, and Site STA to drive optimal sourcing decisions.
  • Collaborate as required with technical specialists and cross functional partners to develop best practices and lessons learned (health charts) for critical commodities.
