FTE: 0.001_, Shift: Variable, Schedule: Variable schedule including weekends, evenings and nights as preferred Position Summary Works under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager and/or the Laboratory Supervisor. Responsible for supporting the Medical Laboratory Technician and Medical Technologist in a variety of pre-analytical and analytical activities leading to the reporting of accurate and reliable laboratory results, as well as ensuring the laboratory methods are performed in accordance with laboratory policies. Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities and working conditions may change as needs evolve.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Minimum one (1) year of recent laboratory experience which includes specimen processing and laboratory computer functions

Responsibilities

Supporting the Medical Laboratory Technician and Medical Technologist in a variety of pre-analytical and analytical activities leading to the reporting of accurate and reliable laboratory results
Ensuring the laboratory methods are performed in accordance with laboratory policies
