Core Java Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a Software Engineer, Core Java to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate has experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, automated testing, AWS, and component design, and can design, develop, and deliver secure, high-quality production software while troubleshooting complex issues end to end. The role involves developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large environments using modern programming and database querying languages. The position requires knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security fundamentals. The job posting specifies W2 employment only and requires candidates to be U.S. citizens, green card holders, or green card EAD holders. Interviews are in person in New York, NY, and applicants must be local.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Core Java and Spring Boot.
- End-to-end component design experience.
- At least 3 years of proficiency with automation and testing tools, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
- At least 1 year of experience using AI tools to enhance development or operations workflows.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security fundamentals.
- Must be local for an in-person interview in New York, NY.
- Must be eligible to work as a U.S. citizen, green card holder, or green card EAD holder; no other visas are accepted.

Nice To Haves
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and creating Java-based support applications.
- Exposure to cloud-native patterns and broader cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with React, React Hooks, TypeScript, GraphQL, and SPA patterns.
- Experience using analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Segment, or Amplitude to inform product decisions.
- Understanding of common UX patterns and performance testing practices.
- Domain knowledge in financial services systems.
