About The Position

This position is responsible for the Welcome Desk operations of the C.O.R.E. (Center of Recreational Excellence) and is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience. The duties listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or high school equivalency (HSE) preferred
  • One (1) year in a customer focused position preferred.
  • Experience with point of sale software preferred.
  • Applicant must be dependable.
  • Applicant must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Applicant must be available to work weekends.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to utilize basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships
  • Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to deal with people under stressful and demanding situations.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to obtain Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides efficient and courteous customer service to all individuals who enter the facility; processes or refers questions, concerns and needs as necessary.
  • Adheres to and implements the CORE mission and philosophy.
  • Responsible for giving tours of the facility.
  • Assists customers with all transactions including memberships, sale of merchandise, and facility rentals.
  • Responsible for opening and end of shift duties as well as all cash handling as it relates to all front desk operations in the CORE.
  • Ensures members receive accurate and current information of policies and procedures.
  • Answers phone and relays information appropriately.
  • Knowledge of upcoming classes and special CORE events.
  • Adheres to assigned work schedule.
  • Immediately reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse.
  • May serve on various employee committees, as required and assigned.
  • Follows and complies with all instructions given by supervisory staff and chain of command.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and displays appropriate conduct.
  • Creates positive relationships with the public, co-workers and supervisors and treats all persons with appropriate respect.
  • Complies with work schedule and fulfills job responsibility commitments.
  • Completes job assignments in a conscientious and thorough manner.
  • Adheres to Laws, Department and Division policies and procedures and supports organization objectives.
  • Listens with comprehension and communicates accurately, clearly, and concisely to facilitate an efficient operation.
  • Complies with safety rules and appropriately maintains and uses equipment and material.
  • Maintains confidentiality of matters relating to the City at all times.
  • Demonstrates self-initiative in performing routine tasks as in accordance with standard operating procedures and standard operating guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and chain of command.
