About The Position
At Regions, the Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is responsible for financial and management reporting, planning, and analysis. The position focuses on administering defined procedures, analyses, and report preparation; supporting monthly financial analysis, modeling, and monitoring of business results; and helping provide reliable financial management information through reporting systems. It also supports budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, regular and ad-hoc reporting, business reviews, presentations, and special projects. The role is intended to be onsite, with regular work hours that include full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager sets the work schedule and in-office expectations. The position is exempt from timekeeping under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime. It is full-time and located at Regions Center in Birmingham, Alabama. The position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Regions will not sponsor work visas for this position.
Responsibilities
- Administer defined procedures, analyses, and report preparation.
- Assist with monthly detailed financial analysis, including financial modeling and monitoring business results and their impact on the bottom line.
- Assist in providing timely, accurate, and reliable financial management information and in running and enhancing reporting systems.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including relevant commentary on variances.
- Complete regular and ad-hoc reporting and business reviews, and prepare key presentations and special projects as required.
- May define drivers of budget variances and ensure responsible parties understand key drivers.
