About The Position

William James College is seeking a full-time Core Faculty member for the Doctoral Clinical Psychology Department, beginning August 4, 2026. This position involves teaching, advising, research supervision, committee work, and scholarly productivity, with a specific interest in candidates with expertise in Psychometrics. The college is dedicated to preparing professionals who serve individuals, families, and communities through rigorous education, applied training, and public service, valuing collaboration, respect, and inclusive excellence. The successful applicant will contribute to the college's core values of experiential education, social responsibility, and personal growth, and will teach courses in Psychometrics and generalist clinical PsyD program subjects, as well as supervise dissertations.

Requirements

  • PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology
  • Completed an APA-accredited internship
  • Teaching experience
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts
  • Maintain some involvement in clinical practice or consultation
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable educational and workplace environment
  • Willingness to contribute to the core values of the college
  • Available to teach in-person classes and participate in on-campus activities
  • Authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the position
