About The Position

The Core Data/SIS/Federal Programs Coordinator at Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools (GCCS) plays a crucial role in managing student information systems, ensuring data accuracy, and overseeing federal grant programs. GCCS is a free, open-enrollment public charter school system in Kansas City, Missouri, serving over 1,600 students from PreK-12, with a strong focus on supporting its predominantly Latinx and bilingual student population. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience with student information systems and state reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing and analyzing large data sets.
  • Knowledge of federal and state reporting requirements and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director of Family Engagement and Student Services and registrars to ensure enrollment, attendance, and demographic data are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Monitors and facilitates integration of other student information systems/data systems with Infinite Campus (e.g., Clever, EdCite, ELLevation, and Paper Tutoring).
  • Identifies issues and serves as the escalation point for inquiries related to the student information system, software applications, and data, ensuring timely resolution of user problems.
  • Provides training opportunities for district and site staff on the use of the student information system (e.g., new applications, upgrades, updates, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper and efficient use of the system.
  • Responds to user requests for a variety of report options (e.g., assessment information, attendance, enrollment, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
  • Submits all Core Data reports, and assists the District Food Services Department with Free and Reduced Lunch reports, and other state and federally-mandated reports to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and other entities as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Manage federal grant programs and funding allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement programs aimed at improving student outcomes.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of federal programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee LEA “Grant Management”, provide follow through, and mentor allocation accountability and effectiveness/results.
  • Supervise and oversee the McKinney Vento/Homeless program for the LEA.
