About The Position

ITTConnect is seeking a Fiserv Platform Architect for a direct-hire, full-time role with a client in Miami. The architect will own the architecture of the Fiserv/Finxact platform ecosystem, including its product-factory model, data model, parameterization limits, ledger/general-ledger structure, and native capabilities for payments, cards, and lending. The role defines how the platforms expose and consume APIs and establishes integration contracts and standards between Finxact and the wider ecosystem. The architect serves as the technical authority on Finxact’s operating model, configuration versus coding capabilities, and the Fiserv vendor roadmap. They will maintain versioned Architecture Decision Records and current platform documentation as examination evidence for OCC/FFIEC, and embed platform-level security, resilience, and data-governance controls aligned with InfoSec. They will also act as the technical counterpart to Fiserv, Finxact, and partners, and collaborate with engineering, configuration, integration, and release teams to ensure the architecture is buildable and audit-ready.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in IT.
  • 8+ years in platform or solution architecture, including modern core banking in a U.S. banking context.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of the Fiserv ecosystem.
  • Strong command of API-led and event-driven integration patterns and secure, high-volume data flows on AWS.
  • Understanding of U.S. payments rails, including Fedwire, ACH, RTP, and FedNow, as well as OFAC screening, cards, and lending on a core platform.
  • Rigorous documentation discipline, including ADRs, HLDs, and data-flow maps.
  • Comfort working in a regulated, audit-driven environment.
  • At least one prior U.S. regulatory examination experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Finxact experience, particularly with its data model, parameterization, APIs, and Config-as-Code.
  • AWS API Gateway experience; Lambda, EventBridge, or Kafka experience is a plus.
  • MuleSoft or equivalent iPaaS/API management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture of the Fiserv/Finxact platform ecosystem, including the product-factory model, data model, parameterization limits, ledger/GL structure, and Fiserv-native payments, cards, and lending capabilities.
  • Define how Fiserv/Finxact platforms expose and consume APIs, including integration contracts and standards at the boundary between Finxact and the wider ecosystem.
  • Serve as the technical authority on Finxact’s operating model, configuration-versus-code capabilities, and the Fiserv vendor roadmap.
  • Ensure core platform decisions are defensible before regulators.
  • Produce and maintain versioned Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and current platform documentation as examination evidence expected by OCC/FFIEC.
  • Embed platform-level security, resilience, and data-governance controls, including RBAC, segregation of duties, encryption, audit trails, and multi-region resiliency, aligned with InfoSec.
  • Act as the technical counterpart to Fiserv/Finxact and partners, validating solution architecture, configuration approach, and delivery model against Itaú’s reference architecture.
  • Partner with the Core Banking Engineering Lead, configuration specialists, Integrations, and Release & Quality to ensure platform architecture is buildable and audit-ready.
