The producer ensures assets meet the aesthetic standards set by the Franchise Art Director while satisfying gameplay requirements, such as hitboxes and readability. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of art production or art management experience in AAA game development; character and/or weapon art pipeline experience is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of 3D art asset pipelines, including concepting, high- and low-poly modeling, texturing, rigging, and integration into game engines.
  • Experience managing external vendors or outsourcing partners, including brief creation, feedback delivery, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to manage complex dependencies among art, design, and engineering teams in a live-service environment.
  • Strong project management and scheduling skills, with proficiency in Jira, ShotGrid, or other production-tracking software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to translate gameplay requirements into actionable artistic feedback.
  • Passion for hard-surface art, character design, and collaborative development of assets for a global player base.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end production of Legend and weapon 3D models, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Coordinate alignment among the Art Director, concept artists, character artists, hard-surface modelers, and gameplay designers so that creative vision meets design requirements.
  • Partner with Rigging, Animation, VFX, and Technical Art teams to manage handoffs, flag dependencies, and resolve technical pipeline issues.
  • Manage external outsourcing partners by creating briefs, leading feedback sessions, tracking milestones, and ensuring quality control for outsourced art assets.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, asset-tracking systems such as Jira, and progress reports for character and weapon models.
  • Identify and address risks involving asset scope, technical constraints, artistic feedback cycles, and resource allocation.
  • Schedule and lead art reviews, consolidating feedback and communicating actionable direction to internal and external artists.
