About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Copywriter to develop, edit, and maintain user manuals and product documentation. This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating complex information into clear, user-friendly content that enhances the customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 yrs of experience in copywriting, technical writing, or documentation development
- Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Experience writing user manuals or product documentation
- Background in electronics a plus
- Basic understanding of UX writing principles
- Experience with visual documentation tools or basic graphic editing
Responsibilities
- Review, Re-write, edit, and proofread user manuals, instruction guides, and supporting documentation
- Translating manuals to multilingual as needed
- Translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to gather information
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and terminology across all documentation
- Organize and structure content for usability and accessibility
- Update existing manuals to reflect product changes and improvements
- Develop visual aids (charts, diagrams, screenshots) in partnership with design teams when needed
- Maintain documentation standards and style guides
