About The Position

This role is for a writer earlier in their career who is serious about the craft and aims for a long-term career. The ideal candidate can generate clear concepts and wants to work with a team that will help them improve their writing and concepting skills to consistently produce better work. The role requires someone who is coachable, fast, and willing to generate multiple options to find the best one. Fluency in AI tools is expected for exploration and pressure-testing ideas, but the candidate must understand the difference between AI output and human taste, recognizing that the best work requires a human brain, a point of view, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Approximately 1-3 years of copywriting experience in an agency, studio, in-house team, or similar environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing range, curiosity, and a developing point of view.
  • Education in advertising, writing, or communications, or a portfolio demonstrating learning through practical experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in grammar, structure, clarity, rhythm, and attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest in concepting, beyond just filling copy requirements.
  • Comfort writing in different voices, formats, and complexity levels.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to continue learning them.
  • Low ego, high standards, and an open mind.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Work with art directors, strategists, account teams, and senior creatives to take ideas from brainstorm to final file.
  • Turn strategic direction into concepts and on-brand copy for social, video, and digital, including headlines, scripts, posts, body copy, and presentation language.
  • Use AI to explore angles, build prompts, and speed up early thinking.
  • Edit own work with care, focusing on structure, rhythm, tone, and clarity.
  • Develop skills in presenting and selling ideas.
  • Take feedback, ask good questions, and use critique to make work stronger.
  • Stay curious about culture, platforms, brands, and how people actually talk.
