About The Position

Millionaire Publishing and StockstoTrade are seeking a skilled Copywriter to create persuasive direct-response copy for financial media and education products. This role involves writing long-form sales promotions, VSL scripts, email sequences, SMS copy, upsell/downsell copy, and webinar slide decks. The Copywriter will be responsible for ensuring all claims are fact-checked and compliant with regulations. This is a fully remote position requiring a self-directed, detail-oriented, and proactive individual.

Requirements

  • Proven experience writing direct-response copy, including long-form sales promotions, VSLs, email sequences, and/or upsell copy.
  • Demonstrated ability to write persuasive, original, and brand-consistent copy under deadline pressure.
  • Strong command of direct-response principles: AIDA, big idea development, unique mechanisms, proof stacking, and offer construction.
  • Proficiency with AI writing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper) for copy drafting and ideation.
  • Strong copy editing and proofreading skills; meticulous attention to factual accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills; adherence to file naming conventions and project management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct-response copywriting experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of copy formats (sales promotions, email sequences, VSL scripts, or similar) required for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with financial markets, trading, or investment education or coaching marketing.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot).
  • Background in webinar funnel copywriting or pitch deck scripting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Financial, health, or information marketing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit long-form sales promotions (digital and direct mail style) of 2,000–20,000+ words designed to convert cold and warm traffic into paying customers.
  • Develop compelling big ideas, unique mechanisms, leads, and closes tailored to the target audience’s financial goals and pain points.
  • Produce space ads and advertorial-style copy for display and native advertising placements.
  • Write landing page copy for lead generation, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create order forms and checkout page copy optimized to reduce friction and maximize conversion.
  • Write full VSL scripts including hooks, story arcs, proof elements, offer stacks, and calls to action.
  • Adapt long-form promotions into VSL format and vice versa, maintaining conversion logic throughout.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and production team on scripting, pacing, and on-screen text elements.
  • Produce multi-step email sequences for new subscriber onboarding, product launches, evergreen funnels, re-engagement campaigns, and winback series.
  • Draft full emails in under 20 minutes using AI-assisted workflows, with fewer than 10% requiring major revisions.
  • Write SMS copy that is concise, compliant, and action-driving; maintain drafting speed under 10 minutes per message.
  • Implement A/B subject line testing, preview text optimization, and CTA variations in coordination with the email marketing team.
  • Write upsell and order bump copy for post-purchase and mid-funnel upgrade paths, including one-time offer (OTO) pages and upsell video scripts.
  • Produce lift notes—short, high-urgency letters from a named endorser or authority figure—to accompany primary promotions.
  • Write banner ads and display creative copy for paid media campaigns.
  • Create downsell and save-the-sale copy to reduce cancellations and retain subscribers.
  • Build and write full slide deck presentations for live and automated webinar funnels, including educational segments, pitch sequences, objection handling slides, and offer stacks.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and design team to align copy with visual structure, branding, and slide layout.
  • Revise decks based on webinar performance data, attendee feedback, and conversion metrics.
  • Verify all material facts cited in copy—including performance claims, statistics, testimonials, and third-party data—before submitting work for review.
  • Ensure all claims and disclosures meet applicable FTC marketing guidelines and company compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with the compliance team or Creative Director when claims require review, substantiation, or legal signoff.
  • Maintain working knowledge of financial advertising regulations relevant to investment education and trading software marketing.
  • Participate in kick-off and ideation sessions with the Creative Director and marketing team to develop campaign concepts, big ideas, and offer strategy.
  • Present copy drafts and creative concepts to the Creative Director; iterate based on structured feedback.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, email marketers, media buyers, and product managers to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Contribute to copy swipe files, brand voice guides, and internal style standards.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify proven offers, hooks, and angles relevant to the financial trading space.
  • Track and report individual copy performance KPIs (open rates, click rates, conversion rates, revenue per email) on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
