Requirements

  • Department of Health TB clearance
  • Must be able to read and write to perform job duties
  • Must be pleasant, friendly and smiling
  • Must be at least 18 years of age if serving or selling alcoholic beverages

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patrons and seat them at tables or in the lounge.
  • Insure quality and rapidity of facilities and services.
  • Answer phone and schedule dining reservations.
  • Direct waithelp and service attendants to insure courteous and rapid service.
  • Resolve or assist in resolving guest complaints.
  • Inspect dining room serving stations and equipment for cleanliness and orderly appearance.
  • Assist waithelp and service attendant in expediting service to guests.
  • Assist restaurant manager in overseeing the restaurant service staff.
  • Review daily work schedule and assign work stations.
  • Review occupancy report and reservations, VIP’s, special requests or occasions.
  • Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant and seat them at the table, present menu and personalize the service.
  • Answer telephone promptly and take dining reservations, noting special requests or occasion.
  • Respond to guest requests or inquires.
  • Consistently perform tasks as specified on sequence of service standards and SOPs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and dining room.
  • Thank guests upon their departure, call valet if needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
  • Recommend the resort’s restaurants and facilities to guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and adequate par levels of menus.
  • Assist waithelp and service attendants in expediting service to guests or resetting tables.
