About The Position

This job is responsible for defining the engineering approach within an end-to-end technology stack. This job will align to a technical domain but acts as contributor to multiple cross functional teams. Key responsibilities include engaging in development and production environments to identify and improve performance/capacity issues and creating and ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise standards. Job expectations include providing and contributing to improvements in solution design, testing, and delivery practices. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with experience in Artificial Intelligence with modern productivity systems. Experience should include Microsoft Copilot for M365, AI modeling, Microsoft Copilot Studio and cloud security/compliance controls to ensure best practices across services. The candidate will guide standard configurations and baselines, while helping propose technical solutions to implement, monitor, and maintain long term configurations that adhere to bank compliant baselines and standards. Strong technical and customer communication skills are required for this role. Candidates must be able to interact directly with all stakeholders, including project, security, compliance, user experience, other engineering teams, architecture, operations, and governance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience with architecture and/or engineering across Microsoft cloud services with a focus on AI
  • Expert-level knowledge of relevant AI and modeling services both cloud and on-premises, across various Microsoft technologies
  • Expert-level knowledge of foundational components such as Active Directory, network infrastructure/architecture(DNS/DHCP, routing, etc.), PowerShell scripting
  • Expert knowledge of evolving AI governance and industry
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Copilot services including Copilot chat
  • Experience with custom AI agents and automation solutions integrating Copilot Studio to enterprise data sources
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Strong experience architecting and building applications to support workstreams across multiple platform tiers
  • Self-starter, critical thinker with proven ability to deal with granular requirements yet see things holistically and strategically
  • Ability to shift and pivot with changing responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently
  • Ability to work with business and technical teams to build requirements and technical artifacts
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

  • Authentication mechanisms including domain authentication, OAuth/Modern Authentication, Kerberos
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 licensing, identity/access management, groups
  • Experience with Azure Entra ID and Conditional Access
  • Understanding of Financial Regulatory, Legal and Compliance requirements
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate (or similar)
  • Microsoft Security Engineer Associate certification
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (or similar)
  • Microsoft Security Operations certifications (any)

Responsibilities

  • Leads Microsoft 365 Copilot Engineering with focus on operational sustainability and compensating controls to ensure resiliency
  • Hands on configuration of the AI-driven customer interactions of Microsoft 365 to support evolving capabilities and services
  • Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to create innovative solutions
  • Provide engineering support for AI security and compliance development and system integration
  • Will generate and maintain engineering artifacts in support of operational excellence
  • Provide oversight on technical activities to function as a mentor, help with problem escalation, and communicate significant problems or issues to management
  • Participates in solution-driven discussions, such as various Communities of Practice (COPs), contributes to the design of large or highly complex architectural designs, and finds creative solutions through their knowledge of the domain and operational constraints
  • Produces detailed designs of infrastructure and application architecture components
  • Ensures that execution aligns with product strategy by working with product management, product owners, and other stakeholders, contributing to the technology strategy for their technical domain
  • Collaborates with Development and Infrastructure teams to understand technical solutions and provide the performance capabilities required in the application across the technology stack put forward by Solution Engineer Lead
  • Mentors and guides more junior Engineers ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
