Cope Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Cope Operator – 2nd Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality results, this role offers the opportunity to build your skills on a variety of specialized equipment. As a Cope Operator, you'll set up, operate, and inspect cope, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship. You will also be responsible for machine preventative maintenance (PMs). Your growth matters here. As you become proficient on additional equipment, consistently achieve production goals, and share your expertise by training others, you'll have opportunities to advance and take on greater responsibility within the team.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent education, required.
- Ability to read prints and measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration.
- Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality.
Nice To Haves
- 6 months+ of related machine operating experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and inspect cope
- Machine preventative maintenance (PMs)
- Train others as requested
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines
- Monitors product to ensure that quality standards are being met
- Set-Up, operate, and verify work on assigned machine
- Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to the position
- Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
