About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Cope Operator – 2nd Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality results, this role offers the opportunity to build your skills on a variety of specialized equipment. As a Cope Operator, you'll set up, operate, and inspect cope, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship. You will also be responsible for machine preventative maintenance (PMs). Your growth matters here. As you become proficient on additional equipment, consistently achieve production goals, and share your expertise by training others, you'll have opportunities to advance and take on greater responsibility within the team.

Requirements

High School or equivalent education, required
Ability to read prints and measuring instruments
Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration
Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality

Nice To Haves

6 months+ of related machine operating experience, preferred

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and inspect cope
Ensure products meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship
Machine preventative maintenance (PMs)
Train others as requested
Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines
Monitor product to ensure that quality standards are being met
Set-Up, operate, and verify work on assigned machine
Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to the position
Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
