Requirements

College diploma (DEC) in Occupational Health and Safety or a related technical field
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written: Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, national, and international clients and partners, proficiency in both French and English is required
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and meet deadlines
Strong autonomy, attention to detail, and rigor
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications and technologies
Demonstrated motivational and collaborative leadership

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the leadership team and employees to promote a strong occupational health and safety culture
Organize and lead Health and Safety Committee meetings and follow up on corrective actions
Participate in the management of workplace incident and accident claims
Conduct inspections, audits, and site visits to verify compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures
Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, environment, and security (HSES) programs
Support and advise managers and employees on HSES matters
Monitor occupational health and safety, environmental, and security management systems
Serve as the main point of contact with CNESST and regulatory agencies
Conduct or coordinate investigations and analyses of incidents, accidents, and non-conformities
Develop, update, and test emergency response plans
Identify risks and recommend preventive solutions tailored to operational needs
Track corrective and preventive actions
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs
Establish performance indicators and prepare monitoring reports
Participate in the development and implementation of the environmental action plan
Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and standards applicable to port operations
Contribute to maintaining and improving performance under the Green Marine program
Perform any other related duties
