About The Position

The Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role helps deliver an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. The Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes moving merchandise to the sales floor, supports and coaches Associates, and helps maintain backroom organization, safety, and compliance. The position is at Marshalls Store 1562 in New Albany, Indiana.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Capable of multitasking.

Able to work effectively as a team player with peers and supervisors.
Capable of lifting heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to train others.
One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, reprioritizing as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
